Thomas currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer at Intuit, where he is helping guide the company’s evolution into an AI-driven platform supporting consumers and businesses. Previously, he was Global CMO at Uber, leading a major marketing and brand turnaround—work that earned him recognition on Forbes’ list of the Most Entrepreneurial CMOs.
Earlier in his career, Thomas spent more than a decade at Google in marketing leadership roles, where he launched Google Pixel and founded the Google Brand Studio, naming the company Alphabet and creating the Google Store. He also served as the first Chief Marketing Officer for the State of New York and began his career as a consultant at McKinsey and Interbrand.
A Brooklyn native and the grandchild of Italian immigrants, Thomas became the first in his family to attend college. He holds a B.A. from Stanford University and a master’s in public policy from Harvard University. He now lives in San Francisco with his partner, Brian, and their dog, Bruno.
We’re thrilled to welcome Thomas to the StoryCorps Board of Directors and look forward to the vision, creativity, and deep commitment to people he brings to our mission.
