Joanna Fix was in her early 40s and at the height of her career as a psychology professor when she started having memory issues.

It took five years for her to be diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. But just before that life-changing news, Joanna signed up for a dating website and started messaging the man who would become her husband, Forrest.
