In 2020, Ingrid Hoch and Brian Lahr were hired as managers on a big construction project to create a new terminal at the San Diego International Airport.

But before the job had officially begun, COVID hit. Ingrid and Brian joined a volunteer-based group called the Resiliency Team, intended to foster community amidst the pandemic.

At StoryCorps they remembered how they brought people together with the help of some tiny insects.
