Virtual Mobile Stop: Boise, ID

The StoryCorps Mobile Tour is Going Virtual!

In partnership with Boise State Public Radio, StoryCorps is bringing their signature recording experience to the virtual space to record, preserve, and share the stories of Boise, ID.

May 4 – May 29, 2020

Now in its 15th anniversary year, the StoryCorps Mobile Tour has facilitated hundreds of thousands of meaningful conversations between people who know and care about one another. To date, these face-to-face conversations have taken place in its MobileBooth: an Airstream trailer outfitted with a recording studio. For the first time, to respond to the need for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic — while working towards its mission to help people feel more connected and less alone — StoryCorps is piloting the opportunity for Boise residents to participate online. What to Expect

StoryCorps’ Mobile team will contact everyone who will be participating by phone to go over the details of the virtual recording process and answer any technical questions. We will also do a tech check with you a few days prior to your appointment. Please be on the lookout for communications from us. You will not be allowed to participate without confirming by phone and completing the tech check. In the meantime, please check out our Virtual Step-by-Step guide and read through our list of Great Questions for ideas on what to talk about with your partner.

Become a Community Partner

Our goal is to make the StoryCorps recording experience accessible to all. One way we do that is by partnering with local organizations that serve diverse populations. StoryCorps interviews celebrate the voices and milestones in your community and encourage meaningful interactions between your organization and the people you serve. Community partnerships are free of charge, and conversations can be recorded in any language.
