Door-to-Door Service
Recommended for: Organizations, schools, churches, institutions, and families
StoryCorps will bring portable recording equipment to your location to record up to six 40-minute interviews per day. Organizations across the country have used Door-to-Door sessions to celebrate anniversaries and milestones, add a personal voice to fundraising and marketing materials, and provide the meaningful StoryCorps experience to their community. StoryCorps provides:
- Two highly-trained StoryCorps Facilitators with professional equipment
- Six 40-minute interviews sessions per recording day
- One copy of each interview for the participants, and a complete collection of the uncut audio and photographs for the host organization
- Archiving of the interviews in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress and additional special national archives
- Planning tools and support to make your project successful
What we need from you:
- A quiet room for the recordings
- Pairs of interview participants scheduled in advance
- A point person who will work with StoryCorps to plan the event
Fees
Nonprofit sliding scale rate: $3,500 – $5,000 per day*
*A minimum 3-day purchase is required outside of New York City, San Francisco, and Atlanta.
Additional Services
- Professionally edited segments of your collected stories can be purchased. Please inquire for fees.
- Group presentations and workshops can be added to recording events. Please inquire for fees.
