Interview transcript

TOBIAS: You have a real African name. I wanna hear the real African name.

LARRY: [Says his African name]. I was named after all my grandfathers and I’m the fourth child born under the star Xavier in the past four hundred thousand years.

T: So what’s Wad-Humzah?

T: That’s my Sufi Muslim name. I was given Humzah when I met Sheik Nuah. He looked up at me and said Humzah and then grabbed hold of me and gave me this tight hug and wouldn’t let me go. He said, I’ve been looking for someone to put this name on and you are it.
