Nome Poem (NP): okay, you, my mother, and her sister, and her husband Ben, y'all went to a restaurant to get some food.

Norman White (NW): Oh yeah.

NP: And you put a diamond in your head, in a towel, and pretended you were from a foreign nation.

NW: yes, and I couldn't speak any English. I said (gibberish) So another lady sitting over across the restaurant, she heard me talking, and she came over to the table, and she said, "I know this is a God-sent man!"
She started talking something crazy, to me.

NP: What'd you say?

NW: I said (gibberish) So we really had some fun there.

NP: You could have started a religion.

NW: I could have, probably.

NP: We could've been rich.

NW: Yeah (laughs)

NP: But we're happy.
