“… after that I felt worthless, and like a coward.”
From Krista Bronaugh Gateway STEM High School

My name’s Adel Babalija and one of the events that’s changed my life is when I was in elementary school, 4th grade. I remember this kid getting bullied. He was a little small kid and I was feeling scared so I didn’t step in to help him. And after that I felt worthless, and like a coward. So ever since then I made a commitment to myself to stop bullying. And this is important to me because bullying is one of the biggest problems in school. I have to make a difference, to stop bullying.

Interview conducted in St. Louis, MO.
