Information Technology Intern, Web Development

StoryCorps’ Information Technology department is a small and dedicated team of professionals who work very closely with all departments in our organization. The Information Technology Web Development intern will assist in updating and editing content for, uploading videos and media to sites like YouTube and Vimeo, compiling social media and web traffic statistics, and assisting in other web-related projects as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

Projects may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Write custom HTML, PHP, JavaScript for existing web applications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues on web-based systems.
  • Back up web-based systems and test disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Assist in migrating data, websites and servers.
  • Provide technical support related to web-based systems.
  • Provide general tech support for other IT-related issues as needed.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with strong computer skills, very strong interest, and a passion to learn. Some experience with WordPress, HTML, and CSS is required. Familiarity with PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and Apple Macs is preferred but not necessary. Must have ability to work independently as needed.
