Education Intern

The primary work of the Education Department at StoryCorps is the implementation of StoryCorpsU, a yearlong college readiness curriculum being taught in four cities, Chicago, New York City, St. Louis, and Washington, DC. Visit for more information on the program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of the StoryCorpsU curriculum;
  • Track curriculum revisions;
  • Review student produced content;
  • Update database with log info for student produced content;
  • Research topics of relevance to the development of the department;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Ideal Candidate

The person chosen for this position will be proficient in Microsoft Office, thrive in a start-up environment, be a proactive problem-solver, have strong writing skills, facility in paying attention to details, and in taking an organized approach to their work. It will also be helpful if the person has experience with high-quality customer service systems, a demonstrated interest in education programming and knowledge of what educators and students are likely to view as interesting and valuable.
