StoryCorps MobileBooths, Airstream trailers outfitted with recording studios, travel the country year-round. We partner with local public radio stations, organizations, and groups to reach out to the widest range of people in each community. Past MobileTour Community Partners
- In Minneapolis, Minnesota, clients of a youth homeless shelter interviewed each other at a MobileBooth. A case manager reported that when the 18- to 21-year-olds returned to the shelter, they were excited to play their CDs for each other and compare their stories and experiences.
- In New Hampshire, a nonprofit land trust organization that works with longtime rural residents to protect their farmland from development recruited elderly farmers to participate in interviews with younger relatives at a MobileBooth.
- In Medford, Oregon, an activities director at a nursing home serving primarily lower-income residents organized outings for residents to visit the MobileBooth with a family member.
