I have a sister and mother that both had breast cancer, so I am my sisters are all high risk. They both survived this disease. Another of my sisters and I participated in the first Tomoxiphen study and as sisters were a valued addition to the research, they told us. We were so proud to find out that instead of the 15% preventative, they were able to unmask the study when they found it was a 47% preventative medicine. I too applaud all supportive family members, and especially those male members that do not just stand by and watch and grieve, but help in whatever way they can. Keep up the good work, and with each of us individuals doing our part for the whole, I pray we will eradicate this disease in our lifetime. If not, at least we have laid the cornerstones for it in the future.

I am fighting breast cancer now. I have a good friend, Anne, who is on the Susan G. Komen Board. She so beautifuuly has spread the word about the good works of the Foundation. Thank you for all the hard work and perserverence that your family has done to make this "Healing Journey" so much easier. There is such a strong sisterhood of support and love around our country .The Foundation is such a lovimg tribute to your mother.

Eric,
As a BC survivor and Komen advocate, your mother's promise has changed my life. I am honored to be one of the many who have benefited from her vision, strength and will. The men in our lives are to be commended for being such incredible supporters of this movement. Thank you for sharing your story!
