i have read the story and i understand that my family came from lowndes county alabama. my family name is glover is ther any way i can reach mr glover to get our family tree started. Now i understand why my grandmother never talked about alabama and why she refused to ever talk about it.

I was a white teenager in 1964 living in Greenville, I was arrested one night in Ft. Deposit by the KKK. They almost killed two FBI agents and were planning a killing of of a black man. I am writing a screen play and hope to make the night that I was held into a movie.

I am the same age as Mr. Glover. At age 15, I did not have that kind of courage. It’s a testament to the human spirit how we endure and, again, how ordinary people do extraordinary things to make the world a better place for the rest of us.

I want to read all the stories collected here in Alabama! What a great legacy these people have given us. May future generations truly appreciate their sacrifices!
