A picture’s worth a thousand stories (and tags).

The heart of the StoryCorps experience is the opportunity to share an honest, uninterrupted conversation with a loved one, and all participants leave our recording locations with their interview on a CD, a time capsule of this special experience that’s hot off the presses! Some people listen to their CDs on the ride home, while others tuck them away in a drawer to share with future grandchildren.

But there’s another momento created at the end of every StoryCorps interview: the photo. After sharing stories, a few laughs, and sometimes a few tears, our participants’ conversations with their loved ones are visually captured.

We know how important these photos are in documenting your connection with a loved one as beautifully as the sound recordings. With this in mind, StoryCorps San Francisco has teamed up with the Contemporary Jewish Museum, our host site, to post participants’ photos on the CJM’s Facebook page.

At the beginning of each month, we’ll add a new batch of photos. Once you’ve recorded your story, look for your photo and feel free to tag yourself and even download your photo!

Take a look at the CJM on Facebook and Flickr for StoryCorps San Francisco’s most recent participants — and check back each month for a peek at who’s sharing their story.
