John White received a BA in Theater and Creative Writing from Hampshire College, where he was a James Baldwin Scholar and the 5-College WORD! Festival Award winner. Since moving to New York in 2001 he's worked in Marketing for The Public Theater and New York Theater Workshop, as an Assistant to Producer Scott Rudin and as Executive Assistant at The Kitchen. Prior to moving to New York, John's dabbled in a wide range of work experience and multiple incarnations as a paper boy, camp counselor, short order cook, dishwasher, painter, environmental activist, life skills instructor for deaf youth, heating and air technician, after school teacher Boston's Chinatown and an architectural assistant all of which served as great preparation for his work at StoryCorps.
