Originally from Savannah, GA, Jackie moved north to study literature and folklore at Oberlin College. She graduated with a passion for journalism and immigration issues. In the fall of 2009 Jackie attended the radio program at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. Before joining StoryCorps, she covered stories of immigration in northeast Ohio and southern Maine. Jackie loves food and conversation and is excited to send her stomach and ears on the road.
