Erin likes the blues, the windows down, and the human voice. A native of South Carolina, she received her B.A. in religion and English from Boston University, and her M.A. in religious studies from the University of Chicago, where she studied theories of religion and elements of the religious in literature. During her two years in Hyde Park, she worked with third graders at a local elementary school as a classroom aide. She left Chicago having spent a great deal of time perusing the recordings collection at Regenstein Library, listening to and identifying with voices from 70 years ago telling their stories for magnetic tape and posterity. She's excited to be doing the same with people all over the country in the digital age.
