Alex grew up in Maine and fell in love with community radio when she hosted a children's radio program at WERU in Orland. She went to college at Clark University to study narrative psychology and communications. After spending some time teaching at a Montessori school in Cambodia, she came to StoryCorps as a Community Outreach Intern. She enjoys good coffee, conversation with strangers, and her family.
