Education Intern
In the Fall of 2011 StoryCorps launched an education program that placed the StoryCorpsU College Readiness Curriculum in high schools in NYC, St. Louis, and Washington DC. StoryCorps plans to continue working in these cities for the 2012/2013 school year. Visit www.storycorpsu.org for more information on the program.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support implementation of curriculum
- Track curriculum revisions
- Participate in curriculum training events
- Review student produced content
- Update database with log info for student produced content
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Ideal Candidate
The person chosen for this position will thrive in a start-up environment, be a proactive problem-solver, have good writing skills, facility in paying attention to details, and in taking an organized approach to their work. It will also be helpful if the person has experience with high-quality customer service systems along with knowledge of what educators and students are likely to view as interesting and valuable.
